Lead Education Specialist - Teachar Program - Eastern & Southern Regions at Anglicare Victoria

Katy Baker has a diverse work experience in the education sector, starting in 2000 as a Pre School Teacher & Director with the Department of Education & Training, Victoria. Katy then moved on to various roles within the same department, including Classroom Teacher and Early Years Coordinator. Katy also worked as a Kindergarten Teacher/Team Leader at DORSET EARLY LEARNING & KINDERGARTEN before joining Anglicare Victoria. At Anglicare Victoria, they held positions such as Integrated Family Services Practitioner and Education Specialist/TEACHaR Program before becoming the Acting Lead Education Specialist in 2019 and eventually the Lead Education Specialist for the TEACHaR Program in 2020.

Katy Baker holds a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from the University of Melbourne, completed in 1998. Katy then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Education with a focus on Primary Conversion at Deakin University from 2004 to 2005. Following this, Katy obtained a Bachelor of Psychological Science in 2013, and a Master's Degree in Social Work in 2014-2015. Most recently, they completed a Master in Child Play Therapy at Deakin University in 2021-2022.
