Technical Analyst

Engineering · Full-time · London, United Kingdom

Job description

About Anmut.

In 2018, we set out to solve a big problem. We saw the world-changing power of data being lost because most large organisations don't truly understand the value it creates for their stakeholders, or how to maximise that value. We set up Anmut to map and measure the value data creates, the maturity of an organisation’s data management capabilities, and the extent to which data meets their needs.

We translate the intangible idea of data into an asset that a business can manage. In doing so, we aim to break the inertia around enterprise-wide data management, gain clarity on how to get the best returns from data and transform data culture.

At Anmut, we believe that a positive and inclusive working culture is at the core of our success. We foster an environment that values collaboration, creativity, and continuous development. Meet the team here, and if you're eager to be part of this dynamic culture, read on.

Role.

We are looking for a technical analyst to join our consulting team. The role will primarily focus on delivering our solutions to clients so they can manage their data better.

Your initial focus will be to get to know us, our products and services, our clients and our operations. Other projects will be less technical, and you will have an opportunity to develop core consulting skills. You will likely align with one of our service lines and become a subject matter expert in a specific area for our clients. There will be a strong emphasis on being a leading problem-solver and balancing quality of work with efficiency.

There will be an opportunity to shape your role as the business grows. Your role will naturally evolve into managing technical consulting projects. However, careers can also evolve towards research science or software development in the R&D or product teams. There will be opportunities to get involved in many areas of the business and stepping out of your comfort zone will be encouraged.

If you don’t meet our technical requirements, please do consider applying for our Business Analyst role.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Competency in SQL
  • Familiarity with data analytics and visualisation using software such as PowerBI and Tableau
  • You are:
    • Able to clearly communicate complex concepts to both technical and business audiences.
    • A creative problem solver comfortable with ambiguity.
    • You can complete tasks quickly and effectively and prioritise where necessary.
  • You want to:
    • Work in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment.
    • Grow and be challenged.

Some experience or knowledge in the following areas. You may have the opportunity to leverage these skills in other areas of the business (R&D, Software Development):

  • Data modelling

  • Software development & version control
  • Machine learning and statistics

We want to build a diverse team, so if you do not exactly meet our requirements but feel that you would be a good fit for the role, please apply anyway! Every application is reviewed by our team and we're always looking to evolve our understanding of what a great candidate looks like.

Benefits.

  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

  • Monthly 1-on-1 development reviews.

  • Hybrid and flexible working.

  • Cycle- and run-friendly central London office.
