Baldo Scassellati Sforzolini

Baldo Scassellati Sforzolini serves as the Global Head of R&D at Galderma since July 2020, overseeing all R&D functions and chairing the Pipeline Committee. In addition to this role, Baldo is a member of the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee at The Glaucoma Foundation, serves as a jury member for the University Hospitals Research at ANR, and is part of the Programme Advisory Committee at Bologna Business School. Previous experience includes positions such as Senior VP at Allergan, Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board at OpsiRx Pharmaceuticals Ltd, and Head of Global Development at Bausch + Lomb. Baldo's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine degree from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine from Cardiff University, among other qualifications in ophthalmology and business management.
