Sofian Hnaide

Sofian Hnaide has worked in various software engineering roles in several companies. Sofian started their career as a Researcher & Developer at CT Consultants in 2010, where they worked on developing a context-aware framework for software systems. Sofian then worked as a Web Developer at Concordia University Libraries from 2009 to 2011, where they customized open source applications and maintained web interfaces. In 2011, Sofian joined Microsoft as a Senior Software Development Engineer, contributing to projects such as Visual Studio Code and the C# compiler team. Sofian remained at Microsoft until 2016 and then joined SpaceX as a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in software development for space-related applications. In 2020, Sofian transitioned to a Principal Software Architect role at Microsoft, where they worked until 2021. Currently, they hold a position as a Staff Software Engineer at Anyscale since April 2022.

Sofian Hnaide obtained their Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Engineering with a major in Software Engineering from Damascus University. Sofian completed their undergraduate education from 2004 to 2009. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from Concordia University, which they attained between 2009 and 2011.
