Zhe Zhang

Zhe Zhang is the current Head of Open Source Engineering at Anyscale. Zhe has been in this position for 1 year and 11 months. Prior to their current position, they worked at The Apache Software Foundation for 7 years as a member of the Apache Hadoop PMC and Apache Hadoop Committer. There, they focused on the HDFS component. Some of the key features that their team developed include Kube2Hadoop for secure access of Hadoop data from Kubernetes jobs, Avro Dataset for TensorFlow I/O, and HDFS Consistent Read from Standby Nodes.

Zhe Zhang has a Ph.D. from North Carolina State University in Computer Science and Operations Research from 2004-2009. They also have a B.E. from University of Science and Technology of China in Computer Science from 1999-2003. Zhe Zhang went to Beijing 44 Middle School and graduated with a high school diploma in 1999.
