Shane Fryer

Shane Fryer has extensive experience in risk management and compliance. Shane is currently the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer at ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions, where they oversee risk and compliance functions. Prior to this, Shane worked as the Chief Risk Officer at Worldline Global, leading the transformation of the risk function across the business unit. Shane also served as the Group Head of Enterprise Risk Management at VEON, where they managed enterprise-wide risk across multiple operating companies. Additionally, Shane held various roles in risk and assurance at companies such as MTN, Indosat Ooredoo, Ooredoo Group, MTN Group, Digicel, and Hutchison 3G. Throughout their career, Shane has focused on implementing best practices for risk management and compliance, including areas such as fraud detection and prevention, revenue assurance, and compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Shane Fryer's education history includes a Master of Science in Law & Financial Crime Compliance from The University of Law, obtained in 2021. Shane also holds a Master of Science in Risk Management from Glasgow Caledonian University, obtained between 2016 and 2019. In 2006 to 2007, they completed an LLB (Hons) in Law at The Open University. Additionally, Shane obtained a diploma in Business Leadership Programme from IMD in 2015, a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Crime Compliance from the International Compliance Association in 2018-2019, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika between 2002 and 2004. Shane also holds a diploma in Management Accounting from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, obtained in 2015, and a Higher Certificate in Project Management from Damelin in 2002.
