A&P Tyne – Quality Manager

As a business with a commitment to quality driven engineering excellence, we are looking for a Quality Manager. It’s role that will challenge you as a leader using your experience coaching and developing quality teams to reach their potential while ensuring that quality measures are well maintained.

Its a great opportunity for someone who has either been developing their career towards this critical role and the level of responsibility that comes with it, or alternatively you may be in a similar role and looking for a fresh challenge.

So what will you do?

  • Leading and inspiring, you’ll have a team to manage that includes Engineers, Inspectors and Document Controllers
  • You’ll work well with stakeholders at all levels including a key customer with presence on site so you’ll be constantly communicating
  • You’ll be managing and developing our quality management systems to ensure they are robust and comply with industry standards
  • You’ll inspect monitor and maintain those standards through regular audits
  • You’ll collaborate cross functionally to identify areas for continuous improvement and driving excellence
  • Providing guidance and training for your team, and with the wider team you’ll train and coach on quality, control process and procedure
  • You will promote best practice throughout the business

And what are we looking for?

  • The ability to work effectively under pressure managing multiple priorities and you’ll need exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • We’re looking for someone with strong experience in engineering, ideally fabrication and / or marine who has had a key focus on Quality Management, working within ISO 9001 and 45001 guidelines
  • Working knowledge of industry standards and regulation including: BS EN 1090, 3834, 15614, 5817, AQAP 2105, 2110, DefStan 770, 773 and Lloyds Rules
  • Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations in Marine and / or Fabrication would be good to have
