Ethan Doan

Ethan Doan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ethan joined The General Counsel Summit in 2023 as an Advisory Board Member. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Legal Operations and Technology at APA Group starting from 2022. In 2021, they worked at Coles Group as a Legal Governance Advisor, where they were seconded through LOD and worked on a Legal Operations/Technology project. Ethan also has an extensive background with LOD, formerly lexvoco, where they held the positions of Manager of Legal Operations & Technology and Legal Counsel from 2018 to 2022. Ethan was seconded to the South Australian Cricket Association as a Legal Operations Manager in 2021. Before that, they worked as an Attorney at IBM from 2020 to 2021, and as a Corporate Counsel at Aon for a brief period in 2020. Ethan also had project lead roles at Qantas in 2019 and Lendlease in 2018, both involving Legal Operations/Technology projects, as well as corporate solicitor experience at Allianz from 2017 to 2018.

Ethan Doan completed their Master of Law and Legal Practice, specializing in Intellectual Property Law, at the University of Technology Sydney from 2005 to 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Computer Science and Technology with a focus on Information Systems from the University of Sydney from 2001 to 2004. Additionally, in November 2020, Ethan Doan received a certification as a Checkbox App Designer from Checkbox.ai.
