Steve Hlavach

Steve Hlavach has an extensive work experience in the field of tax. Steve currently holds the position of Vice President of Global Tax at APi Group, a role they started in 2022. Prior to this, they served as Vice President of Global Tax at The Manitowoc Company from 2016 to 2022. During this time, they played a pivotal role in the manufacturing company's crane and lift solutions business.

Before joining The Manitowoc Company, Steve was the Head of Tax at Artisan Partners Asset Management (APAM) from 2011 to 2015. At APAM, they were responsible for advising on IPO-related tax issues and establishing a proactive public company tax department.

From 2004 to 2011, Steve worked at The Boeing Company as the Tax Lead in M&A. Steve provided tax planning, due diligence, and integration support for domestic and international acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. Steve successfully closed multiple deals ranging from $25 million to $1 billion.

Steve started their career as a Tax Consultant at PwC in 2000, where they gained valuable experience before moving on to roles of greater responsibility.

Steve Hlavach has a B.S. in Accountancy from Gies College of Business - University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a J.D. from Northern Illinois University. Steve also obtained an LLM in Taxation from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
