Trevor Broad

Trevor Broad has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries.

Trevor started their career in the film and television industry in 2007 as a Key Production Assistant, where they were responsible for supervising production assistants, representing the locations department on film sets, and maintaining public relations.

In 2008, Trevor began freelancing as a UI/UX Designer and Front-End Web Developer, a role they continued until 2012. During this time, they worked on various projects, honing their design and development skills.

In 2010, Trevor joined alluraDirect.com as a UI/UX Designer and Front-End Web Developer. Trevor integrated into the development environment and played a key role in designing and implementing UI/UX updates. Trevor also redesigned the search engine interface and client administration sections. Additionally, Trevor served as a Marketing & Communications Specialist, providing website technical support, engaging in new client acquisition, and developing online help resources.

From 2011 to 2012, Trevor was the Technical Co-Founder of FlyingFlips Apparel Ltd. In this role, they designed the UI/UX flows and developed the entire frontend platform. Trevor also directed backend development and handled marketing through social media and Adwords.

In 2012, Trevor joined Mogo as a Frontend Engineer and gradually took on more responsibilities. Trevor modernized the legacy stack, collaborated with cross-functional teams, and played a crucial role in defining project requirements and executing agile software development sprint cycles. Trevor later transitioned into the role of a Senior Lead Front End Engineer, leading a team of up to 12 frontend engineers and delivering business objectives within an agile/scrum framework. Trevor then transitioned into the role of Solutions Architect, working closely with various stakeholders to identify product objectives, maintain alignment across disciplines, and develop holistic architectural solutions. Finally, they served as a Senior Product Manager, leveraging data to identify product opportunities, manage the product roadmap, and collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver new features.

Currently, Trevor works as a Senior Product Manager at APOLLO Insurance, a position they started in 2023.

Trevor Broad attended Point Grey Secondary from 1997 to 2002, where they obtained a Diploma. Afterward, from 2005 to 2006, they enrolled at The University of British Columbia and pursued an Arts Major.
