Nathan Genetzky

Nathan Genetzky has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Nathan is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Appareo Systems since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Vaddio as a Software Engineer from May 2017 to December 2021, where they developed integrated embedded systems and custom Linux distributions. Nathan also gained experience in using tools such as Jenkins, Jira, Git, Bitbake, and Puppet.

From November 2018 to November 2021, Nathan worked as a Software Engineer at Dojo Five. During this time, they further developed their software engineering skills.

Nathan started their career as a Student Intern at Daktronics from May 2016 to April 2017, where they worked on C++ code for video display systems. Nathan also worked as a Research Assistant and Student Tech Fellow at South Dakota State University, where they gained experience in building vacuum sputtering systems and setting up classrooms, respectively.

Additionally, Nathan worked as a Software Developer Resident at Virtuoso Consulting, a sub-contractor for USGS EROS, from June 2015 to December 2015. Nathan also worked as a Sputtering System Technician at NASCENT Technology from September 2014 to February 2015, and as an Owner + Android Programmer at Alpha App Development from September 2013 to April 2014.

Before entering the software industry, Nathan worked as a Carpenter at Fuecht Construction from May 2013 to August 2013, assisting in building homes and performing various carpentry tasks.

Nathan Genetzky completed their education at South Dakota State University, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Nathan attended the university from 2012 to 2017. In addition to their degree, they also obtained two certifications. In August 2014, they became an Authorized Scanning Electronic Microscope Operator at South Dakota State University. In September 2017, they completed the course "LFD435: Developing Embedded Linux Device Drivers" offered by The Linux Foundation.
