Yannick Bulliard

Yannick Bulliard has been working in the field of biotechnology since 2002. Yannick obtained a Master in Molecular Parasitology from the University of Fribourg in 2002, and then completed internships in Genetic and Development at the Université de Genève in 2005. In 2006, they received their Ph.D. in Molecular Virology from EPFL as part of the NCCR "Frontiers in Genetics" International Doctoral Program. In 2011, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Oncology at the Novartis Institute for Biomedical Research. From 2013 to 2020, they worked as Program Lead (Scientist) - Oncology Research at Amgen, where they were the preclinical program lead for two “Must Win” checkpoint inhibitor programs, led a cross-functional research team of more than 20 FTEs and CROs, and contributed to the IND submission of AMG228 (GITR). Yannick also supported various Immuno-Oncology programs at all stages of the pipeline and contributed to the development of the CAR-T platform at Amgen. From 2016 to 2020, they worked at Immatics Biotechnologies as Director of Allogeneic Platform Development and Director of Product Sciences. From 2020 to 2022, they worked at Atara Biotherapeutics as Head of CAR-T Preclinical Research (Sr Director). Currently, they are working as Sr Director Research at Appia Bio.

Yannick Bulliard attended Cushing Academy in 1999 for an international american summer school. Yannick then went on to Universit\u00e9 de Fribourg - Universit\u00e4t Freiburg from 1999 to 2004, where they earned a Dipl\u00f4me en biologie mol\u00e9culaire et cellulaire. Yannick followed that up by attending the University of Geneva in 2005. That same year, they also attended EPFL (\u00c9cole polytechnique f\u00e9d\u00e9rale de Lausanne), where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Life Sciences - Molecular Virology. Finally, from 2012 to 2013, Yannick Bulliard attended the Harvard Biotechnology Club.
