Brian Kelly

VP Engineering at AppLand

Brian Kelly has over 25 years of work experience in the software engineering field. In 1997, they began their career at IONA Technologies as a Principal Engineer and Principal Consultant, where they were responsible for the design and creation of fault-tolerance and high-availability features in the Orbix and Artix product lines. Brian was also elected to the IONA Technical Council and delivered strategic technical guidance to executive management. In 2008, they joined Progress Software as a Senior Engineering Manager, where they managed an international team of engineers to concurrently develop and maintain numerous product lines. In 2010, they moved to TimeTrade Systems, Inc. as VP Engineering and Director of Architecture, where they were responsible for product engineering and hosting operations, as well as implementing numerous engineering initiatives across the development team. In 2013, they became a Tech Blogger at The Huffington Post. In 2015, they joined datawire.io as VP Engineering, and in 2016 they moved to Conjur, Inc. as VP Engineering. In 2020, they joined Flipdish as VP Engineering and tripled the engineering team size in that time. Brian is currently VP Engineering at AppMap, which they joined in 2022.

Brian Kelly attended Technological University Dublin from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computing.
