Michael Booth

Michael Booth has a strong background in software engineering, with experience in various roles and companies. Michael is currently working at ApplyBoard as a Principal Software Engineer, leading the migration to a distributed microservices architecture and optimizing front-end delivery. Prior to this, they were a Principal Software Engineer at realtor.com, where they designed and implemented a decision engine for a journey personalization system. Michael also advocated for GraphQL and Kotlin best practices, led presentations on architecture and product roadmap, and managed a small team. Before that, they contributed to the Azure implementation of Vantage as a Service at Teradata as a Staff Cloud Engineer. Michael has also worked at Expedia Group as a Principal Engineer, focusing on the migration of a legacy monolith application to a cloud-based distributed microservice model. Furthermore, they were a Lead Software Engineer at RealNetworks, where they developed a new casual game shopping platform.
