Janith Wanniarachchi

Janith Wanniarachchi has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Janith recently joined Appsilon as an R/Shiny Developer in October 2022. Prior to this, they served as the President of the Statistics Society at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura from December 2020 to October 2022. Janith also worked as a Consultant at labml.ai from October 2021 to July 2022 and as a Trainee Data Analyst and Data Science Intern at Trabeya from November 2020 to November 2021. Additionally, Janith has worked as a Consultant Data Analyst at CreativeHub from February 2021 to May 2021. Janith started their career as a Freelance Graphic Designer at Morpheus Digital Services in November 2017 and has held graphic design roles at Ayra Analytics and Sydpro in September and November 2017, respectively. Janith also has experience as an Intern at Blockchain AI in September 2018 and as a Contractor Consultant at Intellimorph from January 2019 to June 2019.

Janith Wanniarachchi completed a Bsc. Physical Science degree with a specialization in Computer Science from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, where they attended from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they attended Royal College Colombo from 2003 to 2016, though no degree or field of study was mentioned for that period. In 2014 to 2015, Janith pursued the JSAD 1st Year program at the Java Institute Sri Lanka. Furthermore, in 2012 to 2013, they obtained a Diploma in Web Engineering from ESOFT Sri Lanka. In addition to their educational background, Janith has acquired several certifications, including "Bayesian Modeling with RJAGS," "Intermediate Functional Programming with purrr," "Introduction to Spark with sparklyr in R," "Scalable Data Processing in R," and "Natural Language Processing." These certifications were obtained from DataCamp and Coursera between the years 2019 and 2020.
