Cara Harley has a diverse range of work experience. Cara worked as a Sales Assistant at H&M from 2010 to 2012, where they focused on meeting sales targets and providing excellent customer service. In 2012, they interned as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at B/E Aerospace, supporting the production of aircraft seats and participating in continuous improvement projects. Cara then returned to B/E Aerospace in 2014 as a Manufacturing Engineer, working with design and support teams to deliver manufacturing solutions for main cabin aircraft seats.

From 2014 to 2021, Cara worked at Queen's University Belfast as a PHD Researcher. In this role, they developed an automated framework using Python for building parametric 3D stiffened panel models in an aircraft wing GFEM. Cara also developed an algorithm for extracting critical data from unlinked Abaqus and Microsoft Excel sources and managed relational data in Microsoft Access. Cara gained expertise in stiffener buckling, composite failure, and damage modeling, as well as conducting mesh convergence studies. Cara presented their work at conferences and published technical reports.

In 2017, Cara joined WRIGHT EN-DRIVE LIMITED as a Stress Engineer, focusing on structural analysis of bus chassis and body components. Cara created FE models and carried out linear, non-linear, and buckling analyses. Cara also led engineering design reviews and conducted simulations for virtual validation.

Most recently, Cara joined Data Intellect in 2019 as a Kdb+ Developer. Additional information regarding their role is not provided.

Cara Harley pursued their education starting from 2001 to 2009 at Thornhill College. However, no degree or specific field of study is mentioned for this period.
