Calvin Lam has extensive work experience in the energy and trading industry. Calvin started their career as an Assistant Chief Technology Officer at A-Knowledge Ltd. In ExxonMobil, they held various roles such as Trading Analyst, Controls Advisor, Planner, and Project Manager. Calvin then worked at Chevron as a Regional Business Analyst and Operational Excellence Champion. Lam later joined Tasweeq, where they served as the Market/Business Analysis Lead in Qatar and Acting General Manager in Singapore. Calvin then joined Pan American Energy as the Crude Market/Planning Manager in the Commercial Development Department. Currently, Lam holds the position of Global Head for Innovation and Technology and Analytics at Aramco Trading. Additionally, they are a Board Member at Tradego Pte Ltd. throughout their career, Lam has demonstrated expertise in market analytics, business development, strategic planning, and trading in the oil and energy sector.

Calvin Lam has a strong educational background. Calvin completed their BSc Hons I in Computer Science at the National University of Singapore from 1995 to 1999. Calvin then pursued an MSc in Information Systems at the same university, and achieved the Dean Award for their outstanding performance, finishing from 1999 to 2001. Later on, they attended Hwa Chong Junior College from 1991 to 1992. Continuing their academic journey, they received an MBA with Distinction from the University of Birmingham between 2005 and 2008. In 2016, they enrolled at INSEAD for their International Management in Asia Pacific program. Lastly, in 2018, they completed a program on Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
