Jim Dryburgh

Jim Dryburgh has worked for several organizations since 1975. Jim's first job was with the British Army, where they held various roles, including Chief Instructor. In 1997, they took on the role of Lead Career Manager at the UK Ministry of Defence. In 1998, they joined NATO, where they were Commander (Operational Business Unit Leader) and Information Communications Services Strategic Joint Planning Officer. In 2005, they joined the New Zealand Defence Force, where they held the roles of JSO1 J6, Chief of Staff Capability Development, and Lead Capability Manager C4EW. In 2020, they became an Outward Mindset Coach & Accredited Facilitator at The Arbinger Institute. Most recently, in 2021, they became a Certified Consultant Elephant Rider and Facilitator at riders&elephants, as well as Director Defence Information Platform (DIP) Programme and Chief of Staff and Director Transformation CIO Department at the New Zealand Defence Force.

Jim Dryburgh has a long history of education and certifications. Jim attended Dunoon Grammar School from 1970 to 1975, followed by the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst from 1978 to 1979. Jim then attended The Open University from 1993 to 2005, where they earned a Professional Certificate and Post Grad Diploma in Operational Management. In 2014, they completed a Master in Information Management (MIM) (distinction) from Victoria University of Wellington. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including an Everything DiSC Workplace Facilitator from WILEY GLOBAL, LLC in 2022, an Elephant Rider Certificate of Practice from The Emotional Culture Deck in 2021, and an Outward Mindset and Outward Leadership Consultant from Arbinger Oceania in 2020.
