Michael Marston

Michael Marston has a diverse range of work experience in climate risk, quantitative analysis, geostatistics, and research. Michael is currently working as the Director of Climate Risk at Arbol. Prior to that, they were a Senior Geostatistical Analyst at First Street Foundation. Michael also worked as an Analytics Architect at Zooterra. Additionally, Michael has experience as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Virginia Tech, where they conducted research and taught courses related to meteorology. Michael has also worked as a Research Consultant for NASA DEVELOP at Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) and as a Student Contractor at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Overall, Michael Marston has a strong background in climate science, research, and analysis.

Michael Marston obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Geospatial and Environmental Analysis, with a focus on Climatology, from Virginia Tech in the years 2016-2020. Prior to that, they earned their Master of Science (MS) degree in Geography from Virginia Tech in the years 2014-2016. Their undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech from 2010-2014 resulted in a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, majoring in Meteorology.
