Dee Ben-Avraham has over 18 years of work experience in various engineering and managerial roles. They currently serve as the Director of Engineering at Arc XP, starting in May 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Sr Engineering Manager at HERE Technologies from September 2020 to May 2021.
From 2018 to 2020, Dee worked as an Engineering Manager at Gogo, where they led the Vision product team and oversaw the provision of in-flight entertainment hardware, microservices, and messaging services. They achieved a significant accomplishment by enabling Delta Airlines to reduce weight per plane by 200 lbs.
Before Gogo, Dee worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Gogo from September 2015 to December 2017, and at Grainger from June 2013 to September 2015. At Grainger, they were responsible for strategic architecture/implementation of test-driven projects and developed an offline POS app that allowed the organization to sell safety equipment after an acquisition. They also provided ecommerce functionality for mobile applications.
Dee began their career at iCrossing in April 2010 as a Software Engineer, where they worked on a client-facing agile team and mentored developers. They also assisted offshore developers in resolving critical bug fixes. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Web Developer at NAVTEQ from April 2009 to April 2010, leading new service projects and improving customer engagement.
Dee's work experience extends back to their time at HCSC, where they served as a Senior Software Engineer from June 2003 to April 2009.
Dee Ben-Avraham's education history includes earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University, from 1998 to 2001. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Software Engineering from DePaul University, from 2002 to 2004.
