Alex Tong

Alex Tong currently serves as the Associate Director of Business Development at Arcadium Lithium, starting January 2024. Previously, Alex held the position of Senior Business Development Manager at Allkem Limited, where responsibilities included managing a global sales portfolio exceeding US$600 million. Prior to that role, Alex was the Corporate Development Manager at Tianqi Lithium, supporting major investments and leading M&A and financing transactions. Earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Analyst and Sales & Marketing Analyst at Tianqi, as well as a Finance Team Lead at Apache Corporation, where significant divestment projects were successfully carried out. Alex's educational background includes a B.Com in Financial & Management Accounting from The University of Western Australia and a Chinese Government Scholarship for an intensive language program at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, complemented by a GradDipCA in Accounting from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
