Mike Fazio

Senior Vice President of Client Services at Archway Health Holdings

Mr. Fazio has significant expertise in the areas of managed care and provider reimbursement. He has successfully helped a variety of clients enter the CMS Bundled Payments for Care Improvement (BPCI) initiative and implement their bundled payment models. An authority on the design of bundled payments, his expertise includes development of value-based reimbursement methodologies, feasibility planning for the creation of ACOs and business development strategies.

Previously, Mr. Fazio was a senior consultant with Health Management Associates where he helped health plans, providers and states navigate transformative projects. He conducted feasibility planning and analysis with providers to create ACOs, including the design and launch of a care coordination model for delivering care to children with complex medical needs.

Prior to his work at HMA, Mr. Fazio served as manager of managed care finance and strategy for Boston Children’s Hospital, one of the largest pediatric medical centers in the United States. He designed financial forecasting models, formulated strategy recommendations, and wrote contract language for the hospital’s $1.6 billion contracted book of business with local and national health plans, Medicaid managed care organizations, government programs, and risk-based provider groups.

Mr. Fazio was also a consultant with Public Consulting Group, where he developed and implemented cost savings solutions for state agencies and managed care organizations. His clients annually recovered more than $20 million and saved more than $70 million through the third-party billing, recovery, and cost avoidance services that he provided.

Mr. Fazio holds a bachelor’s degree in health management and policy from the University of New Hampshire.
