Amir Abbasnejad has a diverse work experience beginning in 2008 with Loewen Piano House where they served as a Violin Teacher. In 2013, they began working as a Research Assistant at the University of British Columbia's Image and Signal Processing Laboratory. In 2014, they became a Software Engineer Intern at Delair. Amir also worked as a Research Intern (Diagnostic Imaging) at Nova Scotia Health Authority in 2017. In the same year, they began their role as a Teaching Assistant at Dalhousie University and a Research Software Engineer at Emagix. Most recently, they have been a Software Engineer at Arcturus since 2021.
Amir Abbasnejad has a Master's degree in Computer Science from Dalhousie University, which they are expected to complete in 2021. Amir also has a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering from The University of British Columbia, which they completed in 2013.
