Thomas von Bomhard

Thomas von Bomhard has a diverse work experience in various industries and positions. Thomas started their career as an intern at Porsche Entwicklungszentrum in 2006, followed by an internship at Siemens Healthcare in 2009. Thomas then worked as a software developer at jambit GmbH from 2011 to 2012.

In 2012, they joined the University of St.Gallen as a researcher, where they collaborated on research projects evaluating the potential of blockchain technology for the IoT space. Thomas worked at the university until 2016.

From 2017 to 2019, Thomas held the role of Technical Product Manager at Swisscom, where they were responsible for the AI Enablers product. Thomas worked closely with the engineering team to deliver multiple releases of the AI stack and collaborated with the research team on shaping future AI Enablers.

During the same period, Thomas also worked at Validity Labs AG as a Product Manager. In this role, they led an engineering team in developing and launching dApps on Ethereum for clients. Thomas also led the development of a token platform product.

From 2019 to 2022, Thomas worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Solution Architect. Thomas played a key role in helping customers achieve their goals using AWS services. Thomas implemented various solutions worldwide to expedite their journey to the cloud, specializing in Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Starknet, web3 stack, Solidity, and more.

Most recently, Thomas joined Argent in 2022 as a Senior Product Manager.

Thomas von Bomhard has an extensive education history in the field of computer science and information systems. Thomas pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science from Universität des Saarlandes from 2004 to 2008. Thomas then continued their studies at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science from 2008 to 2010.

During their master's program, Thomas von Bomhard also had the opportunity to study abroad at The University of Edinburgh for an exchange semester in 2009-2010, further expanding their knowledge in computer science.

Their academic journey continued at the University of St.Gallen, where they pursued a Ph.D. in Information Systems from 2012 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Thomas von Bomhard has obtained several certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS). These certifications include AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate, AWS Certified Developer – Associate, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, and AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty. These certifications highlight their expertise in AWS technologies and further enhance their skill set in the field of computer science and information systems.
