Judith Karshmer

Dean, Edson College of Nursing & Health Innovation at Arizona State University

Judith Karshmer is the current Dean of Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation at Arizona State University. Judith was previously a professor at the University of San Francisco, Associate Dean at the University of South Florida, and Department Chair and Professor at New Mexico State University. Judith began their career as a faculty member at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem - Hadassah.

Karshmer has dedicated their career to nursing education and has been a leader in the field for over 40 years. Judith is an expert in online nursing education and has helped to pioneer many innovative educational programs. Under their leadership, Edson College has become one of the top nursing colleges in the United States.

Judith Karshmer earned their PhD in Social Psychology from New Mexico State University, their MS in Social Psychology from University of Massachusetts Amherst, their MSN in Advanced Psychiatric Nursing from Rutgers University, and their BSN in Nursing from University of Iowa.

They work with Jeffrey Cohen - Dean, College of Humanities - Liberal Arts and Sciences, Kenro Kusumi - Dean, College ofLiberal Arts and Sciences (Natural Sciences), and Todd Sandrin - Vice Provost and Dean, New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences. Judith Karshmer reports to Nancy Gonzales, EVP and University Provost.
