Thomas Birkkjær

Thomas Birkkjær has extensive work experience in the field of architecture. Thomas worked as a Partner, Creative Director, and Architect at Arkitema Architects from 2014 to the present. In this role, they have been involved in several high-profile projects, including the Energy Islands North Sea and Blått Bygg in Norway. Prior to joining Arkitema Architects, Thomas worked at C.F. Møller architects as the Head of C.F. Møller Competition Lab Copenhagen from 2006 to 2014. During this time, they worked on projects such as the D-BSSE laboratory building for ETH Zurich. Before that, Thomas worked independently as an architect from 2004 to 2006, focusing on projects such as the restoration of historic buildings and the design of villas in various locations.

Thomas Birkkjær attended Silkeborg Amtsgymnasium from 1992 to 1995. From 1995 to 1996, they studied skiing at Ringebu Idrætshøjskole. Lastly, from 1998 to 2004, Thomas attended Arkitektskolen Aarhus, although no degree or field of study was specified.
