Shajeed Surani

Shajeed Surani has a strong background in investment banking and finance. Shajeed started their career in 2001 at C. M. Gabhawala & Co. (Chartered Accountants) as an Audit and Tax Manager, where they worked until 2005. In 2005, they joined Citigroup as an Investment Banking Senior Associate, and remained there until 2013. In 2014, they joined Al Rayan Investment as an Investment Banking Associate, and stayed until 2014. Shajeed then joined Arma Partners in 2015 as a Senior Associate, and gradually moved up the ranks, becoming a Vice President in 2016, a Director in 2019, and eventually a Managing Director in 2022, which is their current position.

Shajeed Surani completed their Chartered Accountant degree from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India between 2001 and 2004. Following that, they pursued a Master of Commerce degree in Finance & Accounting from the University of Mumbai from 2003 to 2005.
