Director Of Asset Management And Compliance at ARRI Rental

James Alexander has over 30 years of work experience in various roles within the film and production industry. James started their career in 1990 as a Production Assistant at Arnold Shapiro Productions, where they worked until 1993. From 1994 to 1995, they served as a Camera Floor Prep Tech at Camera Service Center. In 1995, they joined IATSE Local 600 as a Camera Assistant, a position they held until 1998. Since 1998, James has been with ARRI Rental, initially serving as the Operations, Domestic and International Logistics Manager. In 2017, they were promoted to the role of Director of Asset Management and Compliance.

James Alexander completed their bachelor's degree in Media Arts with a focus on Film/Video and Photographic Arts from New Jersey City University between the years of 1990 and 1994. Prior to that, they attended Marist High School in Bayonne, NJ from 1984 to 1988, but did not receive a degree or pursue a specific field of study. In terms of additional certifications, James obtained First Aid/CPR certification from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in February 2014. James also completed the "Making the Transition to Management" program from the American Management Association in August 2011, "Management Skills for new Supervisors" from the same institution in February 2010, and "OSHA Compliance & Workplace Safety" from Rockhurst University in February 2009.
