Kara Murphy

Kara Murphy is the current Operations Manager at Arrived. Prior to that, they were the VP of Everything at MHB Real Estate from November 2017 to December 2021. There, they continued maintenance, development, and execution of Team Coordinator role while increasing scope to the rest of the business. Kara also rolled out procedures for all new business initiatives such as raising prices, onboarding new employees, scaling the team with the addition of lead agents & team support roles, reducing inbound customer requests, and handling all new real estate requirements. In addition, Kara created and managed a scaleable system for payroll calculating accurate commission based on source and support. Kara also reconciled and maintained all business accounts, including trust with earnest money for each transaction, through Quickbooks. Lastly, Kara was the catch-all for handling “everything” else related to the business.

Before their time at MHB Real Estate, Kara was the VP Operations at EatStreet from August 2011 to August 2017. And before that, they were a Supplementary Instructor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from May 2010 to May 2011. Kara got their start in the workforce as a Radiology Records Clerk at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics from May 2009 to August 2011.

Kara Murphy has a degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Kara also has certifications in Operations Management Foundations, Quick Start Guide to SQL, SQL Essential Training, and SQL for Non-Programmers from LinkedIn. Additionally, Kara has certifications in Agile Development Practices, Agile Foundations, Agile Project Management with Microsoft Project (2020), Agile Project Management: Comparing Agile Tools, Change Management for Projects, and Managing and Working with a Technical Team for Nontechnical Professionals from LinkedIn.

Their manager is Alejandro Chouza, Co-founder & COO. They work with and Amanda LaRocca - Business Operations Manager.
