Nilgun Tasdemir is a Principal Scientist at Pfizer since November 2020, leading research on internal RNA projects and external collaborations. Formerly a Senior Scientist in Functional Genomics at Pfizer, Nilgun executed pooled CRISPR screens for target identification in oncology and co-led efforts in identifying therapeutic opportunities in senescence-associated pathologies. Prior experience includes a Research Instructor position at the University of Pittsburgh, focusing on invasive lobular breast carcinoma and developing CRISPR-Cas9 models, and a Postdoctoral Associate role generating pre-clinical models for drug testing. Nilgun's research journey began with graduate studies at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, culminating in a PhD, and spans prestigious institutions including Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.
