About Us: Artera is an AI startup that develops medical artificial intelligence tests to personalize therapy for cancer patients. Artera is on a mission to personalize medical decisions for patients and physicians on a global scale.

The IT team is the backbone of Artera focusing on SaaS vendor management, device management, employee support, security operations, and office technology. We create a seamless and secure working environment, empowering our staff to innovate and develop AI models that are transforming cancer therapy.

As Artera’s Lead IT Engineer, you’ll balance hands-on technical delivery ensuring that our internal infrastructure supports our mission, with managing an IT team. You’ll be the go-to expert for all IT-related support and services, enabling our team to work efficiently and securely.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Arterans are able to do their jobs in a secure and well supported environment.
  • Own and plan the long-term IT roadmap, setting performance goals, quarterly milestones, and representing IT to the leadership team.
  • Manage the IT team, providing technical assistance to employees and solving tactical problems as they arise.
  • Partner with leaders across the company to understand their internal and 3rd party software needs, ensuring the overall integrity of Artera’s IT infrastructure and data quality.
  • Manage Artera’s suite of SaaS vendors, negotiating their contracts, ensuring access is configured appropriately and ensuring they are integrated into our IMS.
  • Direct IT security operations with a focus on proactive risk management, implementing security practices and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Partner with our compliance and platform engineering teams to ensure Artera’s systems are compliant, secure, and auditable.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in IT support
  • 1+ years of experience of people management
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Rippling or Okta, and Slack
  • Experience with Apple devices and Apple Device Management (Jamf, Kandji, Mosyle)
  • Previous experience or exposure to SOC2 compliance frameworks
