Senior Staff Hardware Design Engineer at Arteris

Eric Taylor has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and industries. Eric is currently employed at Arteris IP since 2018, where they started as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer and later promoted to Senior Staff Hardware Design Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at NXP Semiconductors as a Design Engineer, where they were responsible for various tasks including RTL design, microarchitecture planning, and 3rd Party IP integration. Before the NXP, Eric worked as an ERP Engineer at Freescale Semiconductor in 2015. Eric also gained experience as a WERLD Intern at Whirlpool Corporation in 2014 and as a Digital Electronics Intern at The Aerospace Corporation in 2013. Eric's early work experience includes being a Camp Counselor at the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science for three summers and leading an Eagle Scout Project to construct a computer lab for a halfway house. Overall, Eric has a strong background in hardware design and engineering in the semiconductor industry, along with experience in leadership and teaching roles.

Eric Taylor's education history is as follows:

From 2011 to 2015, they attended Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering.

In 2021, they started a Post Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at The University of Texas at Austin. Eric completed this program in the same year.

Currently, they are working towards a Master's degree at The University of Texas at Austin, specializing in Architecture, Computer Systems, and Embedded Systems. Eric is expected to finish the program in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Eric has obtained several certifications. In 2016, they completed the Game Design and Development Capstone, Game Design and Development Specialization, and Game Development for Modern Platforms courses from Coursera.

In 2015, they also completed the Principles of Game Design and Introduction to Game Development courses, both verified by Coursera.

Eric has obtained other certifications as well, including the Fundamentals of Accelerated Data Science with RAPIDS from NVIDIA in 2022, and Introduction to Designing Data Lakes on AWS from Coursera in 2021. Eric also completed the Data-Driven Astronomy course in 2020 and the Modern Art and Ideas course in 2019, both from Coursera.
