Axel Grandt

Axel Grandt has extensive work experience in the research and development field. Axel currently holds the position of Director of Research and Development at Artivion, Inc., where they have been working since October 2020. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Program Manager at the same company from December 2018 to October 2020. Before joining Artivion, Inc., Axel worked at DePuy Synthes Companies as a Staff Quality Engineer from June 2016 to May 2018. Axel also gained experience as a Senior Development Engineer at Zimmer GmbH from October 2014 to May 2015. Axel has a long history with Abbott Vascular, where they held various management roles such as Manager of R&D Stents from April 2011 to February 2014, Manager of R&D from December 2006 to April 2011, Manager of Core Technology from January 2006 to December 2006, and Project Leader from July 2003 to January 2006. Earlier in their career, Axel worked at JOMED GmbH as a Project Leader from September 1999 to February 2003 and as a Development Engineer from April 1998 to September 1999. Axel also served as a Project Engineer at Ing. W. Schäfer GmbH from October 1997 to April 1998.

Axel Grandt pursued their education starting from 1992 to 1997 at Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences. During this time, they studied Physikalische Technik. Later, they returned to their studies in 2008 and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Internationales Management from Reutlingen University in 2016.
