Helen Kariuki

Helen Kariuki has a wealth of experience in the finance, risk assurance and analytics sectors. Helen began their career in 2006 as an Intern at Standard Chartered Bank. In the same year, they joined Safaricom PLC as a Senior Analyst, Revenue & Product Assurance and Service Operations Analyst. During their tenure at Safaricom, they were part of a taskforce that oversaw the roll out of the largest call center in East and Central Africa, and supported the deployment of over ten retail outlets. In 2012, they joined PricewaterhouseCoopers- Kenya as a Senior Associate, Risk Assurance Services, where they conducted end-to-end system and process audits for Airtel Money. Helen then joined Airtel Kenya as Manager, Revenue Assurance and Business to Business & Postpay Assurance, where they acted as the principal RA SPOC. In 2016, Helen moved to Co-operative Bank of Kenya as Manager, Revenue Assurance and Analytics. Here, they were responsible for setup, implementation and operationalisation of Revenue Assurance Unit with the Finance & Strategy division. Finally, in 2022, Helen joined Asante Financial Services Group as Group Manager Finance Systems, Controls & Analytics.

Helen Kariuki holds a Bachelor of Science in Computing and Information Technology with specialism in Computer Science from Edith Cowan University. Helen also has a Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt ICYB from Kenya Institute of Management in Partnership with the Institute of Six Sigma Professionals, with a concentration in Business Operations, Processes and Performance Improvement. Helen has an Advanced Training in TIBCO Businessworks 5.X Administration Boot camp from Knowledge Transfer Centre in Partnership with TIBCO, and a Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management (ITSM) from TORQUE IT -ITIL® Authorised Training Organisation. Additionally, Helen holds an Advanced Training in Oracle Database SQL Developer from Institute Of Software Technologies. Helen also has additional certifications such as Certified Lean Six Sigma White Belt from Advanced Innovation Group Pro Excellence (AIGPE™), Certified VOC Techniques Specialist from Advanced Innovation Group Pro Excellence (AIGPE™), Diploma & Advanced Diploma, Computing and Information Technology from Perth Institute of Business and Technology | PIBT, ISSP Certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt™ (ICYB) from The Institute of Six Sigma Professionals, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer | MCSE from Microsoft, and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist | MCTS from Microsoft.
