Phillip B. has a diverse range of work experience. Phillip started their career as an Undergraduate Mechanical Engineer at ARRB Group in 2007, where they conducted design, test, and evaluation processes for integrating laser scanning technology into a vehicle platform. At Defence Materiel Organisation, they worked as a Project Engineer from 2009 to 2011, earning Engineering Authority and overseeing the review and approval process for engineering technical information. Since 2011, Phillip has been working at ASC Pty Ltd, where they have held various roles such as Lead Mechanical Engineer, Business Improvement Specialist, Capability & Innovation Manager, Capability Development Manager, Head of Capability Development, and currently serves as the Head of Digital Business & Chief Data Officer. In their positions at ASC Pty Ltd, they have contributed to research and development projects, including receiving an engineering excellence award for predicting submarine hull life through fracture mechanics.

Phillip B. attended Glen Waverley Secondary College from 1999 to 2004. During this time, they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. After completing their secondary education, they enrolled at RMIT University from 2005 to 2008. At RMIT, Phillip earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree with a focus on Aerospace Engineering.
