Jessie Chen has a diverse range of work experience in the field of scientific research. Jessie is currently working as an Associate Scientist I at Asher Biotherapeutics since May 2021. Previously, they worked as an Associate Researcher at RubrYc Therapeutics, Inc. from October 2020 to April 2021, where they supported supervisors in maintaining cell cultures, designed experiments, and manufactured antibody light/heavy chains for transfection.

Jessie also has experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Ladiges Lab from October 2018 to June 2020, where they studied wound healing rates in aging mouse ears, examined the effects of drug cocktails on geriatric mice, and assisted in various lab tasks and colony maintenance.

In addition, Jessie worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Washington from January 2018 to March 2020. Jessie assisted graduate student TAs during labs, taught mini lessons, and collaborated on lesson plans and technical demonstrations.

Furthermore, they gained industry experience as a Summer Research Intern at American Gene Technologies International Inc. from June 2015 to August 2018. Their responsibilities included aiding researchers in projects related to molecular cloning, mammalian cell culture, and PCR. Jessie also learned about immunotherapy mechanisms and assisted the marketing department in documenting and communicating research findings.

From 2016 to 2020, Jessie Chen pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Washington.
