Merlyn Fernandes

Merlyn Fernandes has extensive work experience in the nonprofit sector, with a particular focus on fundraising and impact evaluation. Merlyn is currently an Advisory Board Member for GivingTuesday India and works as a Fundraising & Impact Evaluation consultant for various non-profits.

In their previous roles, Merlyn worked as a Project Director at Ashoka University, leading the development of a social sciences curriculum for low-income students. Merlyn also gained experience as a Graduate Consultant at Montrose and as a Fundraising Consultant at Talk To Me Mental Health NGO.

Merlyn has a strong background in nonprofit management and development. Merlyn spent several years at Teach for India, where they held various positions including National Development Manager, National Development Associate, and Fellow. Merlyn Fernandes completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics at St. Stephen's College, Delhi from 2012 to 2015. Merlyn then pursued an MSc degree in International Development at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2021 to 2022. In 2021, they were awarded a Chevening scholarship. Before their college education, they attended Presentation Convent Sr. Sec. School from 2000 to 2012.
