Alex Ross

Alex Ross has over 10 years of work experience in the engineering and technology industry. In 2020, they began working as Lead Computer Engineer and Electronic Design Engineer at Ashored Innovations, where they authored and architected the complete firmware package including underwater release units, surface side deck box, Bluetooth communications, and underwater acoustic communications. In 2019, they worked as a Senior Embedded Engineer at NewAE Technology Inc. From 2016-2019, they were an Embedded Software Engineer at KSR International Co., where they integrated Belt Alternator Starter - CAN layer, test tool features, Electronic Power Steering - Torque-sensing firmware, testing, UDS features, Steering Angle Sensor - Software Lead, scheduler, architecture, faults, etc., Thermal Management Valve Controller - Software lead, faults, motor control, architecture, tools, and Electronic Hydraulic Power Steering - CAN features, fault modules. In 2015, they were a System Integration Specialist at Bell, where they completed test plans, proposed test plan configurations, and recorded firmware and hardware defects. In 2014, they were a Systems Integration Engineer Tester at Bell. From 2011-2012, they were a Manager/Lifeguard at Katy's Cove and a Music Columnist at The Baron, where they reviewed, interviewed, and delivered new content for three weekly publications. In 2008, they worked as a Sales Associate at Guardian Pharmacy, and in 2010, they were an IT Department Co-op Student at NBCC.

Alex Ross obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of New Brunswick in 2015. Alex also holds a certification in Design Failure Modes Effect Analysis from OMNEX, which they obtained in May 2016.
