Steve Maricich has extensive experience in the medical field. From 2005 to 2021, they have held various roles at different companies. Steve began their career as an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine in 2005. In 2008, they moved to Case Western Reserve University/Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, where they served as an Associate Professor/Attending Physician. From 2013 to 2016, they were an Assistant Professor/Attending Physician at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine/Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. Steve then transitioned to BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc., where they held the roles of Senior Medical Director and Medical Director. In 2019, they became Chief Medical Officer at Allievex Corporation. In 2021, they were appointed Chief Medical Officer at Calibr at Scripps Research, Scripps BioVentures, and Grace Science, LLC. Steve is currently Chief Medical Officer at Ashvattha Therapeutics, Inc.
Steve Maricich completed their education history with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biology from the University at Buffalo. Steve then went on to pursue a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a PhD in Neuroscience from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. After that, they completed a Pediatrics Residency at Rainbow Babies and Childrens’ Hospital, followed by a Child Neurology Fellowship at Texas Childrens’ Hospital.
