Bronson Weston

Bronson Weston's work experience includes:

- Computational Biologist at Asimov since July 2022.

- Postdoctoral Researcher at the National University of Ireland, Galway from February 2021 to July 2022. In this role, they investigated metabolic fluxes in humans and their gut microbiomes in response to nutritional changes, developed algorithms to predict optimal changes in nutrition, and applied these practices to salmon metabolism.

- Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech from August 2015 to December 2020. Their research focused on developing network and ODE models of regulatory mechanisms in granulocyte-monocyte progenitor (GMP) cells and investigating the behavior and dynamics of monocytic myeloid-derived suppressor cells (M-MDSCs).

- Graduate Teaching Assistant at Virginia Tech from August 2016 to May 2017. Bronson was responsible for grading assignments, holding office hours, and conducting recitation sessions for an integrated sciences class.

- Research Adviser at the University of Delaware from August 2015 to August 2017. Bronson advised undergraduate research teams on agent-based modeling, systems biology, and project development, with a focus on simulating bacteria in the human intestines.

Bronson Weston pursued their higher education, starting in 2010, at the University of Delaware, where they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 2014. Following this, they enrolled at Virginia Tech in 2015, where they dedicated the next five years to obtaining their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree. Their field of study during their doctoral program was Genetics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology.
