Don Elford

Director Global Partnerships at ASM Global

Don Elford has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Don started their career as an IT Operator at Police Credit Union in 1975. In 1980, they became the General Manager at Action Data, where they built the first Financial Services data processing bureau in Australia. Don then moved on to Ticketek in 1989, where they served as the General Manager of the A.C.T and National Venues & Events Manager until 2000.

From 2001 to 2011, Don worked at the Sydney SuperDome/Acer Arena as the Business Development Manager, responsible for creating bespoke events for the arena. Don later became the Commercial Manager at Acer Arena and successfully marketed the venue to achieve global recognition.

In 2012, Don joined AEG as the Group Marketing Manager for Sport & Entertainment. Don'srole expanded when AEG Ogden purchased the Sydney Kings basketball team, and they were involved in marketing the team and working with other AEG-owned teams globally. Don also held positions as a Global Partnerships Executive and Group Marketing Manager for Arenas within AEG.

Don continued their career in the sports industry by becoming the Director of Marketing for the Sydney Kings basketball team in 2016. Don handled marketing, ticket sales, brand development, and game day entertainment strategy.

Most recently, Don has worked for Official ASM Global since 2020 as the Director of Global Partnerships, responsible for selling and managing commercial opportunities across a network of venues in the Asia Pacific region.

Don Elford attended Christian Brothers College from 1969 to 1971 and Young High School from 1972 to 1973. No specific degree or field of study information is available for these institutions.
