Dewain Peterson

Dewain Peterson is an experienced business development manager specializing in the higher education market, currently serving as the Region 3 Business Development Manager at ASSA ABLOY Door Security Solutions since June 2022. With a robust background in door hardware and access control systems, Dewain previously held the role of Door Opening Consultant at ASSA ABLOY from 2005 to 2022, where expertise in specification writing and architectural support was demonstrated. Dewain has also contributed to the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) as President of the Northern Illinois Chapter and Director of the Chicago Chapter. Additional experience includes coaching youth football, teaching AutoCAD at Truman College, and working in various drafting and coordination roles in architecture and engineering firms.
