Hadia Bakkar

Hadia Bakkar is an accomplished professional in journalism and media with extensive experience across various prominent organizations. Currently serving as an Arabic Translator and Live Requests Coordinator at NBC News since October 2023, Hadia also holds the position of Video Producer and News Producer at The Associated Press since July 2022. Previous roles include News Reporter at EastLondonLines, Internship Trainee at BBC Arabic, and Freelance Writer at NPR. Hadia has contributed significantly to BBC News as a News Desk Fellow, where responsibilities included covering breaking news in both English and Arabic. Additionally, Hadia has held editorial and reporting roles at The Skidmore News and the Arab Studies Institute, complemented by a strong educational background with a Master's degree in Journalism from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a Bachelor's in Political Science from Skidmore College.
