Christina S.

Christina S. has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and legal fields. Christina started their career as a Registered Nurse at Children's Memorial Hospital from September 2003 to July 2008. Following that, they worked as an Attorney at Hall Render, where they provided legal advice on healthcare regulatory compliance and risk management matters from August 2008 to August 2013.

From August 2013 to February 2017, Christina worked as a Policy Analyst II at the Michigan Public Health Institute (MPHI), where they analyzed policies related to healthcare. Christina then joined the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services as a Departmental Specialist/Attorney in February 2017, providing legal support to the Medicaid program until May 2022.

Currently, since May 2022, Christina is serving as the Director of Public Health Law at the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials.

Christina S. obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2008. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology at the University of Michigan in 2003. Christina also holds the certification of Attorney from the State Bar of Michigan.
