Twan Beenakkers

Twan Beenakkers has extensive experience in the food production industry, currently serving as an R&D specialist and productivity engineer at Astra Sweets since January 2016. Previously, Twan been involved in various roles at Astra Sweets NV since January 2014, including productivity engineer and process engineer, with a focus on guiding the relocation of the Astra Faam plant to Turnhout and overseeing the establishment of a new production facility. Twan also worked at Astra Faam BV from March 2001 to December 2013 as a WCM coordinator and process technologist, implementing process optimization techniques and training personnel to enhance operational efficiency through methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, and Lean.
