David Chan

Mr. David Chan was appointed as Chief Operating Officer of ASTRI in November 2022. He brings to ASTRI over 27 years of executive management experience in multinational corporations in the Innovation and Technology (I&T) industry across Greater China. Mr. Chan held various senior positions in corporations across Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Beijing. He has proven track record in business development and partner operations, general management, project management in smart city, communication technologies and Internet of Things (IoT). Mr. Chan spent more than 20 years in Mainland China before relocating back to Hong Kong in 2022.

Before joining ASTRI, Mr. Chan was Managing Director of Automation Anywhere, which is a leading robotic process automation company. Prior to that, he served as General Manager, Enterprise Sales of Red Hat China, a leading US-based company offering open-source components to the ecosystem, where he helped major enterprise clients accelerate their adoption of open-source technology. Before that, he worked as Managing Director in Nutanix China, a market leader of enterprise cloud solutions. Earlier in his career, Mr Chan held a number of leadership positions in EMC Greater China and IBM Greater China.

Mr. Chan obtained a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University of California, Berkeley in 1993.
