Roger Gutierrez Ramon

Roger Gutierrez Ramon is a seasoned aerospace professional currently serving as a Mission & Systems Engineer at Astroscale since October 2022, focusing on mission design and development related to space sustainability. Prior to this role, Roger worked as a PhD Researcher and Research Assistant at JAXA from April 2019 to September 2022, where responsibilities included supervising students and collaborating on innovative mission concepts for Solar System exploration. Experience also includes working as an AIT EGSE Systems Engineer at OHB System from May 2017 to April 2019, and earlier research roles at JAXA, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and Universitat Rovira i Virgili. Roger holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from The Graduate University for Advanced Studies, along with multiple master's degrees in space science and technology from prestigious institutions such as The University of Tokyo, Luleå University of Technology, and The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg.
