Annie McDonnell is a highly skilled aerospace engineer with extensive experience in systems engineering and avionics. Currently serving as a Vehicle Systems Avionics Engineer at Blue Origin since December 2022, Annie leads the Development Flight Instrumentation on the MK2 Lunar Lander program and has a strong background in sensor requirements and functional activity diagram development. Previous roles include System Integration Engineer and Fault Management and System Autonomy Engineer at Blue Origin, and Fault Protection Systems Engineer and Systems Testbed Engineer at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where Annie contributed to multiple high-profile missions, including the Europa Clipper Mission. With a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago and a BBA in Managerial Marketing from Kent State University, Annie also possesses experience in mechanical testing and digital marketing analytics from positions held at Honeywell, Woodward, Inc., Orbitz Worldwide, and Rosetta.
