Jonathan Willmer

Jonathan Willmer has a wealth of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Jonathan is currently working as the VP of Clinical Sciences at Atara Biotherapeutics since July 2018. Prior to this, they held various executive roles at EMD Serono, Inc., including Executive Medical Director and Senior Medical Director in Immunology and Neurology from 2012 to 2018. Before that, they worked at Merck Serono SA and Merck Serono as a Senior Medical Director, primarily focusing on Clinical Neurology. Jonathan also gained experience as the Chief Medical Officer at Neurokine Pharmaceuticals Inc., CANTEST Clinical Research, and Prime Trials Inc. Jonathan started their career at CroMedica Global Inc. as the Vice President of Medical Affairs and then moved on to become the Vice President of Clinical Development. Overall, Jonathan has a strong background in clinical sciences and medical leadership roles in the industry.

Jonathan Willmer completed their education in medicine at Queen's University, where they earned a BSc, MD, and FRCPC degree in the field of study of Neurology.
