As ATB’s next Managing Director of Complex and Technical Sales, you lead and drive complex strategic sales initiatives, oversee complex sales processes and cultivate strong client relationships to achieve revenue growth and exceed business objectives emphasizing strategic influence on organizational priorities. You have strong market knowledge of emerging opportunities in the complex payments space (e.g. Card Acquiring, Card Issuing BaaS, PaaS, Trade Finance), with the ability to articulate the portfolio needs to our development teams in advance of initiating a product to account for the long-lead times. Further, you will be responsible for effective communication and driving partnership across Business, Wealth, and Capital Markets to increase the penetration of products. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop long term vision, strategic plan, financial models, objectives and key performance metrics.
  • Develop and nurture a high performing team to support the attainment of ATB Business Solutions (ABS) strategic goals and world class client experiences.
  • Establish and execute the Business Solutions strategic direction and vision for the ATB Business and Capital Market clients, translating organizational goals into key deliverables, objectives, and driving results from a high performing team by specifying how this strategic direction aligns with broader organizational goals and influences priorities beyond the immediate sales team and coverage for clients in Business segmented client groups.
  • Increase ATB’s Centre of Influence (COI) of targeted clients based on the Business Behavioural Segmentation model; specifically delivering on ATB’s ability to offer financial and strategic business advice, as well as acting as a strategic partner for clients across the verticals of Business, Wealth and Capital Markets.
  • Manage the processes, infrastructure and resources needed to deliver agreed team plans and targets, identifying and implementing improvements and collaborating with colleagues to maximize end to end integration, effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Sharing and advocating for the voice of customers, balancing the needs of many stakeholders with opposing interests, and ensuring teammates are ready for new solutions as they are delivered by Client Experience and Technology (CX&T).
  • Manage relationships with partners across ABS, Business Banking, Wealth, and Capital Markets, both leading and participating in discussions around opportunities, business solutions and new ideas; collaborate with other leaders and teams to drive strategic initiatives and integrate efforts across the organization not just within ABS.
  • Provide guidance and support on related regulatory, governance and compliance matters, and shares responsibility for ensuring teammate awareness and the meeting of related expectations and requirements.
  • Act as an expert in transaction banking; including but not limited to Trade Finance, Cards and BIN.
